    1. According to , the study ofThe Adventures of Tintinis known as Tintinology, with its followers being varyingly known as Tintinologists, Tintinophiles, Tintinolators, Tintinites or Herg logues An academic branch of study dedicated to a single comic book series It isn t as far fecthed an idea as you might think I ve just come up for air after being immersed for a couple of months in the 24 canonical albums put up by Herge, and I m ready to bear witness there s a whole world to explore between thes [...]

    2. I read most of these when I was about 7 or 8 years old My family took a lot of trips to the library when I was growing up and somebody must have steered me towards these I also fondly remember The Adventures of Asterix Anyway, I absolutely loved the series as a wee lad.I was overjoyed when this collection came out I own three of the full size individual titles, but buying those is expensive and the whole collection would take up a fair amount of space So I had not read most of them since childho [...]

    3. I remember clearly every time my mother took us to the library, we would rush to the familiar aisle where our beloved Herge books were kept I read these books time after time as a kid, and often my mother would have to confiscate them to get me to do any of my schoolwork These aren t your typical graphic novels They are cleverer, beautifully drawn, and have a better over arching story They are also funny and have lots of laugh out loud moments the characters are engaging and hilarious, and ther [...]

    4. This is a wonderful looking box set, but it is a bit criminal to leave out three adventures in the series Tintin completists will have to buy those seperately to have the entire collection it would have been much better to have them in the Volume 8 included with the set rather than the retrospective, which though interesting doesn t really add anything.

    5. A series of comic book stories about Tintin, an intrepid reporter who travels everywhere from the Moon to the inside of an ancient, cursed temple Tintin s interesting cast of friends and foes show up in each of these adventures. This edition s text was too small I would have liked larger text on each of the pages.

    6. Normally when I go to write a book review, I try to think of everything I enjoyed and did not enjoy about the story I read I try to write a fair review that expresses my opinion without spoiling the plot of the story too much.Yet when I started to write this review, all I could think about was how sad I feel With other stories, I finish them, reflect on them, and usually move on to the next story I adore reading and actually get cranky when I have nothing to read For the first time, I find mysel [...]

    7. I didn t actually read this edition, but this seems to be the best place to post a review of the 24 part Adventures of Tintin series I highly recommend the series overall to adults and children alike For small children, I recommend skipping Tintin in the Congo and providing parental guidance for the rest The series is filled with comedy, action, adventure, and mystery, accompanied by often impressive illustrations Reading chronologically, it is fun to watch the ensemble of characters grow and de [...]

    9. Absolutely fantastic as I remembered Reading through these was a great walk with old friends I enjoyed all of Haddock s escapades once again and all of the twins capers The extra book with some historical background and character analysis was very interesting as well I never knew that Chang was based on a friend of Herge for instance I disagree with the choice of Rastapopoulos as being Tintin s arch nemesis though He was too much of a buffoon and too incompetent I felt Muller would be a much bet [...]

    11. This is an amazing collector piece for any fan of this series I grew up reading these books as a kid and love them just as much now You can t get a complete collection than that including the very first story in black and white and the very last unfinished piece also. The only thing that kept me from rating it a five star would be that these books are meant to be read in french, which is of course the original language in which they were published I don t know if such a collector s set exists in [...]

    12. 01.Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, 02.Tintin in the Congo, 03.Tintin in America, 04.Cigars of the Pharaoh, 05.The Blue Lotus, 06.The Broken Ear, 07.The Black Island, 08.King Ottokar s Sceptre, 09.The Crab with the Golden Claws, 10.The Shooting Star, 11.The Secret of the Unicorn, 12.Red Rackham s Treasure, 13.The Seven Crystal Balls, 14.Prisoners of the Sun, 15.Land of Black Gold, 16.Destination Moon, 17.Explorers on the Moon, 18.The Calculus Affair, 19.The Red Sea Sharks, 20.Tintin in Tibet, [...]

    13. Extremely impressive and enjoyable comics Certain panels I remember one I think from The Calculus Affair beautiful, large panel where the glass and concrete of a giant skyscraper were frozen in time, mid shatter just stick forever fixed in your craw Favorites 1 The Castafiore Emerald 2 No order Destination Moon Explorers on the Moon The Seven Crystal Balls Prisoners of the Sun Tintin in Tibet The Shooting Star.

    14. These are fun stories that my kids and I have enjoyed reading They re a little formulaic, but it works And the plots are often pretty complex they re just done progressively and with a pace that makes it easy to move along with the story It s interesting to see drinking used so much in the story, but it s never a positive thing and Tintin refuses to drink.See the movie too if you haven t already A little fast paced than the books

    15. Who doesn t love Tintin however you can get it My childhood grew up around this intrepid young detective and his friends, exploring so many facets of the world with friendliness, courage and hilarity The wonderful old world values of kindness and chivalry fill every page With detailed and delightful art, this is a series that every child should have on their shelves.

    16. 10YO girl loved all the Tintins Highly recommends There are definitely some dated stereotypes in these books but, led to important conversations w children Parents should be aware might want to skim material first

    17. YOU NEED TO READ THIS SERIES YOU LL LAUGH OUT LOUD BEST BOOKS The Secret of the Unicorn, Red Rackham s Treasure, and The Black Island If you ve read these books, you know how AMAZINGLY AWESOME and FUNNY these books are.

    18. Awesome set, but it would have been better to add the remaining 3 stories Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, Tintin in the Congo and Tintin and Alph Art instead of Tintin and Co Not a total loss, but I would choose the remaining 3 stories instead of Tintin and Co.

    19. A nicely packaged box set of Tintin comics Each volume is a hardcover case Recommended if you are a Tintin fan One downside to this collection us that the size is a bit smaller and hence the text and images for each comic are a bit small much smaller than the original comic.

    20. Very nice versions of the classic comic The art was reproduced brilliantly and although smaller than the larger versions I read as a kid I thought it was still sufficiently large type and pictures to enjoy reading this series again.

    21. I ve gone through all the individual editions of this amazing graphical series numerous times courtesy libraries generous friends simply have one word for them AWESOME EST Somebody please gift this boxed set to me I wanna preserve this one so that I can read it thousand times .

    22. I must have read this series a dozen times as a kid, I m still rereading them, and they never fail to hold their charm.

    23. Un cofre lleno de magia pura, en forma de 24 libritos que cautivaron a millones de personas de varias generaciones tanto del siglo pasado como de este que reci n comienza.
