I really wanted to like this The Dying Light is the second part of the Quadrigger Stoyn Trilogy, picking up Stoyn s story from the end of the previous story The Beginning Where The Beginning at least has the hook of telling us about the Doctor and Susan s escape from Gallifrey in a stolen Tardis, along with an unfortunate accidental passenger, I felt this entry needed something similarly special Instead it s a bit of a mundane tale of Stoyn setting a trap for the Doctor in order to exact his re [...]

A very intriguing setting for sure However it just kind of feels like it was wasted on the story to some extent I ve not been able to get on board with the Quadrigger Stoyn character It just seems unlikely that the Doctor would be so casual about repeatedly screwing over and stranding someone You d also think that given a Time Lord s abilities and ingenuity, Stoyn would eventually find some way home or to at least get the attention of the Time Lord s for a rescue If he could build this island sh [...]


    3. Interesting story about a conscious planet I don t have much to say but I think this is part 1 because the main antagonist says he was caged in that planet beause of the Doctor.This kind of conscious planet idea is not new but in this case it s very enternainng The land provides
