    1. Original review can be found at kristineandterri 23.5 starsI won a copy of this book in a giveaway in exchange for an honest review Thank you I should start out by saying that the author had an audience of young females ages 14 17 in mind when the book was written Although I did enjoy the story I do believe that the younger audience will enjoy it thoroughly.Cassie is leading a destructive life that ultimately ends in disaster for her and her friends She finds herself at the Gate where either th [...]

    2. I got to read a pre release version of this book almost a year ago and I LOVED it I ve been waiting forever for it to come out so I could review it I love the conflicts Cassie faces and how she learns and grows in a realistic way Plus, I loved the writing

    3. I love that this is a story that is unique The main character dies and expects to go to heaven but finds that she fell a little short so she is given a second chance I loved the characters, especially Mark.

    4. It s been a long time since a book touched me so deeply Yes, some aspects were predictable, but the writing is so beautifully brilliant I still enjoyed watching the journey Cassie took as she went from being damned to trying to earn a spot in heaven Cassie is equally lovable and infuriating, which I think makes for a great character She s definitely not perfect, which makes her all the real Her naivety makes her someone you can t help but fall in love with and root for

    5. Do you believe in redemption This book is about Cassie She made a huge mistake, and now she can t enter heaven She must make sure that Talese won t follow the same path as she did Enter two hot guys, One is sweet and sensitive and the other guy who s morals are questionable It was a good read It made me think Everything you do has consequences for yourself and others It was a sweet and genuinly nice book, though a bit predictable.

    6. I really loved this book It is completely different than anything I have ever read, so i can t compare it to something else you might have read before Although the subject is dark and serious, the authors delicious sense of humor keeps you turning pages It s a real nail biter, and I recommend it for mature young adults 5 stars

    7. Co Author Review The main character, Cassie, learns that while life isn t always easy, death isn t either She has a chance come to terms with and make things right in the life she left, while working toward receiving amnesty from hell Sometimes hope is all she has, is will it be enough

    8. Supernatural YA is a little outside my usual genre, but Amnesty, by Jo Noelle, is totally worth the read Also, there is a romantic thread somance readers will be happy too I m a long time fan of this writing team They consistently deliver solid writing with emotional depth, and keep the pacing steady to keep the story moving and the reader reading In this one, the heroine, Cassie, takes on the afterlife in a big way She s sentenced to the fire and brimstone, but given a chance at redemption thro [...]

    9. This is my third book of this Author s , and I absolutely adore them This author s has the ability of writing in a way that s so fresh and lightly, that makes a grown woman like me,ha read a YA book without regrets.Amnesty it s darker than the other two that I read Lexi s Newbie our Heroine, Cassie, is full of flaws, she s like any normal young girl but a one that had made bad decisions, and now has a chance to amend her wrongs Sounds easy, don t Yes, but for Cassie it s going to be a long and [...]

    10. Co author review Damnation is a redemption story about a young woman who made a lot of mistakes, then after her death gets a chance to make it right As the scenes unfold, she doesn t miraculously change and do everything right She tries to hold on to changes she wants to make, but it s hard, and she doesn t always know what to do But Cassie gets her heart in the right place and amnesty becomes a possibility maybe it s not too late. Also titled Amnesty

    11. Amnesty Damnation is a redemption story Cassie makes a lot of choices in life that put her on a downward track When she dies, she s given a chance to help another person and save herself along the way It really doesn t go as she thought it would, but she s able to revisit some of her own mistakes.YA with a clean romanceIntended Audience Age 14 17 and other s who enjoy that age

    12. Amnesty, by the mother daughter writing team known as Jo Noelle, is an intriguing, suspenseful story of love and redemption. From the blurb Cassie is going to heaven if she can get amnesty from hell in the next twenty days Her assignment is to change the eternal destination of a girl in Albuquerque to earn admittance into heaven. No sweat. But when Cassie returns to earth during her three week, mostly mortal assignment, her old habits get in the way, apparently habits don t die when you do , the pa [...]

    13. My Rating 5 out of 5 Stars I had no idea this book was going to be this great I could not put it down From the very first chapter I was sucked into it s pages You felt Cassies s struggles and heartache and I was left bawling like a baby in the last couple of chapters After making some very bad decisions in life Cassie finds herself at the pearly gates facing judgment Her only chance at heaven is to be granted amnesty by saying Talese the only girl that appears does not want to be saved She quick [...]

    14. WHAT IT S ABOUTCassie is going to heaven if she can get amnesty from hell in the next twenty days Her assignment is to change the eternal destination of a girl in Albuquerque to earn admittance into heaven. No sweat But when Cassie returns to earth during her three week, mostly mortal assignment, her old habits get in the way, apparently habits don t die when you do , the partners assigned to help her are anything but helpful, and it turns out the girl she is supposed to help is the only enemy sh [...]

    15. What if you were given a second chance at life, an opportunity to use hindsight to correct all the errors you feel you might have made, to undo any wrongs you had perpetrated on unsuspecting friends and family members Sound like Heaven Then you have an idea of the storyline in this novel The idea that Heaven and Hell could possibly be defined as a figment of the imagination based on ones own guilt, is indeed, a worthwhile premise to explore, and that is exactly what the novel Amnesty does, and i [...]

    16. PG13Violence mild to moderate fist fighting, kidnapping, assault Language a few swear wordsSex no sex, but there is an incidence of descriptive kissing and talk of making out, but no details. The h is a troubled teen, so there s an underage drinking scene, and some references to drugs This is such a thought provoking book I loved the very clever premise There was romance and intrigue Great for 8th grade through adult Good for opening conversation with teens or book club.

    17. I m always apprehensive about books that deal with heaven and spiritual things I like to get my religion from the Bible, but this book was very intriguing The view of the afterlife was pretty basic, and I didn t get the feeling that the authors were trying to get me to believe that the Gate is real, etc I thought they used the book s view of the afterlife as a vehicle to show how important our decisions are and how important it is not to give up I think this book would give teens, especially at [...]

    18. I like Jo Noelle But I didn t like this one It was too dark I guess I wasnt in the mood to watch one teenager self destruct I didn t like the MC I get that she s a teen and they are basically selfish and live for the moment, but she was better at it than the teens I m used to And not in a good way I wanted something uplifting and encouraging I didn t finish it Maybe if I had, I would be writing a different review The writing is descriptive with many simile s and metaphor s Very vivid I don t k [...]

    19. Please note I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.Amnesty by Jo Noelle is one of the novels that I could really appreciate for how it s written I really love how the authors weaved their words At first, I didn t find it necessary for Cassie to be describing a certain character the way when she did when she first got to the Gate but as I continued on, I became used to it and I realized it was necessary for both of the characters build up Not the typical heaven is po [...]

    20. Biased edgeI have enjoyed every book I ve read by Jo Noelle so I feel biased in this review The book doesn t necessarily deserve a bad review but at the same time it s not one I will encourage friends to read For the most part I enjoyed reading, I felt the premise is original The rest of the part I was either bored, didn t care, didn t feel connected and was able to not only predict the final outcome but also many side or supporting parts as well I wanted to root for the mc but I felt nothing fo [...]

    21. I really, really wanted to like this one, but I just couldn t get into it I needed to like the mc and it just wasn t for me I m still a fan of these authors though and plan on reading their other books since I really liked the other two I ve read besides this one DNF.
