This is a great continuation of the Emerald Quest series This book is set right after World War I ends I loved reading about how Maggie who is hired by Lord Clayton Abbott s mother to be his housekeeper ends up helping him to see that he is not the beast that he thinks he is While helping Lord Clayton with his house and physical therapy they end up falling in love Maggie has abandonment issues from losing her family and must learn that she is still strong and can take on the world and Clayton s [...]

Wow What a great second story in the series, with many twists and unexpected turns that had me guessing until the end Maggie has lost it all and leaves London for a fresh start She butts heads with her new boss Clayton however, they quickly get on the same page I can t wait to read the next book in the series.I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely fell in love with this book Historical romance is something I d never imagined I d enjoy, but this and Capturing the Pirate s Heart have turned me into a fan I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced romance, filled with action, intrigue and mystery Not to mention a little scandalous scenes for the era I simply cannot wait for the next two installments and the mystery to be solved
